Cisco Jabber is the university-supported instant messaging application that allows faculty and staff to communicate while on campus. The Jabber tool integrates with your university telephone and syncs with Outlook calendars, offers notifications, click-to-call capabilities, and a directory of campus users.
In an effort to provide better service, the TSC is now using a remote assistance application known as Bomgar. Bomgar simplifies support by letting our technicians remotely control computers and smart phones. With your permission, using Bomgar, our technicians can view what you see and control your computer for troubleshooting support. This application will improve our ability to decrease on-site visits, reduce phone support, and will assist the TSC in responding effectively to peaks in demand from our customers. The TSC will be able to resolve more incidents immediately as well as increase the number of issues we can resolve during our first point of contact with our clients.

For more information about Bomgar, please visit their website at www.bomgar.com.
BGSU offers WebEx collaboration technology services to all active faculty and staff, to address the need for virtual meetings and events. WebEx is a Cisco tool, similar to Skype and GoToMeeting, which allows users to schedule and conduct online meetings with anyone who has an internet connection. Through WebEx, users can host a variety of virtual events, from small group meetings to large webinars and conferences. While connected via audio, meeting hosts can share content from their computer to all attendees' computers and bring up files like Word documents, PowerPoint slides, video and even web browsers. During the course of the meeting the host can pass control onto other users so they may share content with the group as well.
Cisco Telepresence is a video collaboration tool used for activities such as distance learning, training, briefings, video conferences and more. It supports switched conferencing, utilizes automatic detection and tracking of presenters via motion and audio detection capabilities. Telepresence delivers up to 1080p60 end-to-end, HD video.
