Does BGSU have a password management service?
Answer
Yes. BGSU uses Okta as it's identity (and password) management solution. You may see references to Okta when managing your BGSU account and/or password.
BGSU users can manage their password information via the BGSU Password Management self-service tool. Users can use this tool to update/reset their BGSU password, create/update their password security question and edit their display language and recently used apps.
Access BGSU Password Management

Log in to MyBGSU.

Select IT Service Desk from the top navigation menu.

Select BGSU Password Management from the left navigation menu.

Select your name from the top right corner of the self-service page.

Select Settings.

Select Edit Profile to edit the various password information.

BGSU Password Management Email Example
BGSU users will receive email messages from BGSU's identity management system for things like password changes, new login detection, locked accounts, etc. This is an example of what a BGSU password management email message might look like as well as a detailed list of characteristics.
Characteristics of Email
- From/Sender Email Address: From/sender email address will always be "BGSU ITS <idmgmt_noreply@bgsu.edu>".
- Email Subject: Subject will NOT have the [External] tag.
- Links: Destination URL will always begin with https://login.bgsu.edu/. Hover over the link to see the full URL before clicking.
