How do I change/reset my BGSU password?

Change BGSU Password
If your password is set to expire soon, or you wish to change your BGSU password for other reasons, you can do so by following these steps:
- Log in to MyBGSU.
- Select IT Service Desk from the top navigation menu.
- Select BGSU Password Management from the left navigation menu.
- Select your name from the top right corner of the self-service page.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Enter your BGSU Password
- Authenticate via Duo Two Factor Authentication.
- Navigate to the Change Password section.
- Review the password requirements and then enter your current password in the current password field.
- Enter the new password into the new password and confirm new password fields.
- Select Change Password.
Reset Forgotten BGSU Password
If you have forgotten your BGSU password you can change/reset your password via self-service by following these instructions:
- Navigate to MyBGSU.
- On the log in page select Forgot Password?.
- Enter your full BGSU email address.
- Select Reset via Email.
- Check your BGSU email for the password reset email from BGSU Information Technology Services <its-noreply@bgsu.edu>.
- Select the Reset Password link.
- Please note: password reset link expires in 1 hour.
- Enter the answer to your security question and select Reset Password.
- Review the password requirements and then enter your new password twice in the associated fields.
- Select Reset Password.
Password Reset Limitation
Users can change their password only once per 24-hour period.
