BGSU Telephone Package of Services (for all phones)
BGSU's Package of Services for all phones includes the following:
- Phone extension
- Inbound calling to the extension
- Outbound calling to campus, local, toll, and emergency numbers with toll costs included
- Voicemail box
- Conference calling
- Video calling
- Jabber chat, directory search, click to call for hyperlinks when set with BGSU userID
- SIP calling to/from worldwide destinations when set with BGSU userID
- Phone system features such as call forwarding, call transfer, hold, call coverage, call pickup, etc.
Phone Options
BGSU employees can choose from the following phone types when setting up their office phone line using our New Telephone Service Request form:
- Softphone only (no physical handset)
- The softphone only option provides the user with softphone configuration via the Cisco Jabber application. A softphone is an application that allows a user to make and receive phone calls over a network via a computer without the need for a physical phone.
- Standard desk phone (8945) AND softphone setup
- This option provides the user with both softphone configuration and our standard Cisco 8945 desk phone.
- Standard desk phone (8945)
- Expanded desk phone (9951)
- Other
- If none of the above-listed options meet your needs, select the Other option and ITS will reach out to you to discuss your needs.
