I Forgot My Duo Device at Home, How Do I Authenticate?

Question

I need to access a BGSU service (email/applications) but do not have my registered Duo authentication device with me, what do I do?

Answer

If you still have the device needed to authenticate, but are unable to access at this time (IE. you left cell phone at home), contact ITS to obtain a one-time bypass code.  Passcode will be valid for 60 minutes and is for one time use. Checking the remember me for 30 days box will let you in sign in without using the passcode every time. The remember me for 30 days both browser and device specific.

If your device has been lost/stolen/destroyed, you may need to purchase a security token from Information Technology Services.
