Sync BGSU Email With Outlook Mobile App


How do I set up Outlook for BGSU email on my mobile device?


To setup your BGSU email on your mobile device you will first need to install the app store. Google/Android and iOS users can download the app directly by following the links below.

Once the Outlook app has been installed on your device, follow the steps below to sync with your BGSU email account.

  1. Open the Outlook app on your device
  2. Select Get Started
  3. Enter your BGSU email address in Add Email Account screen. (example: 
  4. This will prompt the BGSU login screen to open. Enter your BGSU password and Tap Sign in
  5. Decide if you would like to receive notifications
    • Tap Notify Me to receive notifications
      • Select Allow when prompted.
    • Select No Thanks to opt out of notifications.
  6. You will be asked if you would like to add another account. Select Skip.
  7. Disable Focused Inbox
  8. Your BGSU email should now be setup

Additional Information

  • Use the domain, incoming/outgoing server settings guide if asked for additional server settings.
  • After changing your BGSU password, you should be prompted to enter your new password when first accessing the app. Once you have successfully entered your new password your device will resume syncing.
  • If you already had Outlook but get an error message "this Microsoft account does not exist" a reinstall of the Outlook app will be required.
