Question
How do I reset my forgotten BGSU test environment password?
Answer
ITS cannot sync a user's test account password with their BGSU production account password. Instead, users can change their test password to match their production password (or to any password they choose) via self-service by following the steps below:
- Navigate to https://logintest.bgsu.edu/.
- On the log in page select Forgot Password.
- Enter your email address.
- Select your preferred method for resetting your password:
- SMS (you must first configure your mobile number for SMS password reset)
- Select Reset via SMS
- Enter the code you receive via text and select Verify.
- Voice Call (you must first configure your mobile number for voice call password reset)
- Select Reset via Voice Call
- Enter the passcode you receive from the phone call and select Verify.
- Email
- Select Reset via Email.
- An email will be sent to your BGSU email address.
- Locate the email from BGSU Information Technology Services <its-noreply@bgsu.edu> and select the Reset Password link.
- Enter the answer to your security question and select Reset Password.
- Review the password requirements and then enter your new password twice in the associated fields.
- Select Reset Password.
Your mobile provider's standard rates for sending and receiving text messages still apply.
