University Device Move/Return Request

Who can use it?

BGSU faculty and staff.

What is it?

Faculty/staff relocating to a different office/location* on campus should request assistance moving their University-owned device(s) from one area of the University to another. Please provide (15) business days' notice prior to your move to allow us to plan accordingly. If ITS does not have enough advance notice, certain functions may not be available immediately following your move.

*Note: Not all BGSU employees are permitted to move their equipment with them. Click here to review these stipulations.

If you are moving your desk phone to a new location on campus, you may move it yourself without contacting ITS. If you would like to return your university telephone to ITS, you must submit a Remove Telephone Service form. Additional information on moving/returning university desk phones is available here

If you need to move your area/department's printer with you, please contact ComDoc.

If you have a device that is no longer needed, it should be returned to ITS inventory. Complete the form on this page to schedule a campus pickup.

How to request it?

Please submit the request form on this page to notify ITS and request assistance moving your computer and its associated equipment, or to return a computer that is no longer needed.

Please provide (15) business days notice of your move to allow us to plan accordingly. If ITS does not have enough advance notice, certain functions may not be available immediately following your move (e.g., printing).

As of Spring Semester 2021, ITS no longer assists with computer/equipment moves for large construction projects. Logistics firms should be involved to assist.

How to use it?

ITS will review the submitted request and reach out to schedule the move/return when both you and our staff are available, per your provided available time(s).
