SharePoint Sites/MS Teams: Request New Site or Team

Who can use it?

BGSU Faculty, Staff, Students.

What is it?

The process for requesting a new SharePoint Site or Microsoft (MS) Team.

Where to get it?

Complete the "Request Site/Team" form on this page to request a Site/Team be created. 

If you are requesting a Microsoft Team and currently have SharePoint Site: Select YES when answering the "Do you currently have a site that you would like to attach a Team to?" question and list the desired site name for which you would like to link your Team.

*ITS will evaluate this request. Only top-level sites are currently capable of this addition.

*Please note: Those requesting a site must be the Site Owner. A Site Owner has full control of all aspects of the site, minus the ability to create SubSites. Students interested in creating a Site are required to have a full time Faculty or Staff representative serve as Site Owner. The representative must oversee and request the site.

In order to be approved for the creation of a SharePoint Site, the Site Owner must first complete our SharePoint Sites video training. After training has been completed the site will be created. For more information on training, follow the link below.

Once your site has been created, users can access the site by logging into their BGSU email, clicking the "Apps" button in the top left and then selecting "Sites". For more information on SharePoint Sites, we recommend reviewing the information below.
