BGSU Address Change Confirmation message
Your address and personal information can be updated via the Student Center in MyBGSU.
- Log in to MyBGSU and authenticate via Multifactor Authentication.
- Select Dashboard from the left menu.
- Select the Student or Staff dashboard.
- Select Update Information from the personal information widget.
- Select Contact Details or Addresses from the left navigation menu depending upon what personal information you would like to change.
- Edit your current address or add a new address in Addresses.
- Phone numbers and email addresses in Contact Details
- Emergency contacts under Emergency Contacts using the tabs at the left of the page.
BGSU is committed to identity theft prevention. As a protective measure, a BGSU Address Change Confirmation message is sent to authorized account holders whenever their home or mailing address information has been modified. Although not legally required, BGSU provides this proactive service to all current students, faculty and staff to help prevent identity theft.
If you receive an email stating that a change has been made to your address information on record that you did not initiate, please log into the MyBGSU portal and follow the steps in the Change Personal Information in MyBGSU section to verify that the home and mailing address information displayed is accurate. This includes both current and future-dated address information. Please contact ITS if the address is incorrect.
