What software support services does ITS offer for personal computers?

Answer

If you find that your personal computer might not be functioning properly, ITS offers a number of software support services that may resolve the issue(s) you are experiencing. To have one of these services performed, you must contact the ITS Service Desk so a ticket can be created for your request. The software support services are as follows:

Reformat with Data Backup ($30 + Tax)
- Can be performed on Windows 10 & 11 as well as macOS 10.15+.

- Any installed programs and software will be lost as a part of this process. ITS will not be responsible for reinstalling any software that is removed.
- Data backup will increase turnaround time by 1-2 business days.
- Payment method: BG1 Card.
*ITS will attempt to back up the Desktop, Documents, Photos, Videos, and Music folders. If you have data in other locations, this will need to be noted in your service request*

 

Reformat without Data Backup (No Charge)
- Can be performed on Windows 10 & 11 as well as macOS 10.15+.
- Any installed programs and software as well as data will be lost as a part of this process. ITS will not be responsible for reinstalling any software that is removed or replacing any data that you backed up back onto the device. 

 

Windows Refresh (No Charge)
- Can be performed on Windows 10 & 11.
- MacOS is not supported for this service.
- Any installed programs and software will be lost, however, data should not be deleted. ITS will not be responsible for reinstalling any software that is removed.
*There is a risk of data loss for any files that are infected or corrupted*
