University Device Connected to eduroam Network, but "No Internet"

Question

When attempting to connect to eduroam using my university device, it is listed as connected but with "no internet"; what can I do?

Answer

  1. Ensure your device is connected to eduroam.
  2. Select the Wi-Fi symbol from the bottom right corner of the Windows taskbar.
  3. Select Network & Internet Settings.
  4. Select Wi-Fi from the left navigation menu.
  5. Select Change adapter options from under the Related settings header.

  6. Right-click on the Wi-Fi adapter and select Status.

  7. Select Wireless Properties.
  8. Select the Security tab.
  9. Select Advanced settings.

  10. Change the authentication mode from Computer authentication to User authentication
  11. Verify "Enable single sign on for this network" is disabled
    •  
  12. Select Save credentials. 
  13. Enter your BGSU email address and password.
  14. Select OK.
