Migrate Canvas Classic Quizzes to Canvas New Quizzes

How do I migrate a Classic Quiz to a New Quiz?

1. Open the course that contains the quiz you would like to migrate. 
2. Select Quizzes from the course navigation. 
3. Select the Options icon (vertical ellipses) to the right of the quiz title.
4. Select Migrate.
5. Refresh the Quizzes page after waiting around a minute.
6. Once migrated the quiz will display as unpublished. (dark gray rocket ship). 
7. Review your assessment before publishing the quiz to assign it to your students. 

Question Groups 

Note: When a Classic Quiz is migrated to a New Quiz, Question Groups will import as Item Bank Questions (Item Banks are similar to Classic Quiz Question Banks). The quiz displays the group and the number of questions that are to be pulled from the group. However, the questions in the question groups are not added as an item bank. They are stored in the quiz. To view the questions in the group, preview the quiz. All quiz questions in the group will be displayed in the preview. To import a Question Bank, follow this guide.
