Deleting a File in Microsoft Teams

Delete a File From a Channel

1. Navigate to the channel where the file was uploaded.
2. Select the Files tab.
3. Select the file, then select the ellipses (...) next ot the file name.
4. Select delete.

Delete a File From a Chat

The only way to delete a file shared to a chat is to delete it from the Files list.

1. Open Files on the left side of the app.
2. Under Cloud storage, select the cloud service where you originally saved the file, likely OneDrive.
3. Select the Microsoft Teams Chat Files folder. 
4. Locate the file you wish to delete.
5. Select the ellipses (...).
6. Select Delete.
7. Confirm you want to delete the file by selecting Delete again.
