Where do I find information on Zoom recordings?
Information on Zoom recordings is available on the Zoom support website here.
Zoom cloud recordings expire and are automatically deleted after 120 days. This is the maximum retention period allowed and there is no current process to request an extension to this retention period. To retain cloud recordings past 120 days, please download and save them to an alternative online storage tool such as Canvas Studio, YouTube, or OneDrive.
Please note: Only the host or co-hosts of a meeting can download a local copy of a meeting recording.
By default, meeting recordings are NOT password protected. While someone would have to know the exact URL in order to view a recording, it is not recommended that anything sensitive be recorded unless you enable a password for the recording. Use the information on this page to password-protect your recordings.
