How do I authenticate via Duo when attempting to access a BGSU test account?
Answer
Follow the steps below to authenticate via Duo Two Factor Authentication when attempting to access a Duo-protected BGSU test environment.
- Log in to the BGSU test environment with your BGSU user name and test account password.
- When prompted with the Duo authentication screen, select My Settings & Devices from the left side of the window.
- If you are not prompted for Duo authentication screen, put in a ticket request to Security requesting duo for your test account.
- This will require you to authenticate via Duo prior to making any changes. You can authenticate using your phone number but will have to use one of the following options:
- Call Me to authenticate via phone call.
- Enter a Passcode to authenticate via SMS text message.
- After selecting one of these methods, select Text me new codes.
- This will send you a code via SMS text message.
- Once authenticated, choose Select Device Options to the right of the device that needs to be activated.
- Select Reactivate Duo Mobile and follow the instructions to reactive the device.
