Duo Authentication When Accessing a BGSU Test Account


How do I authenticate via Duo when attempting to access a BGSU test account?


Follow the steps below to authenticate via Duo Two Factor Authentication when attempting to access a Duo-protected BGSU test environment.

  1. Log in to the BGSU test environment with your BGSU user name and test account password.
  2. When prompted with the Duo authentication screen, select My Settings & Devices from the left side of the window.
    • If you are not prompted for Duo authentication screen, put in a ticket request to Security requesting duo for your test account. 
  3. This will require you to authenticate via Duo prior to making any changes. You can authenticate using your phone number but will have to use one of the following options:
    • Call Me to authenticate via phone call
    • Enter a Passcode to authenticate via SMS text message.
  4. After selecting one of these methods, select Text me new codes.
    • This will send you a code via SMS text message.
  5. Once authenticated, choose Select Device Options to the right of the device that needs to be activated.
  6. Select Reactivate Duo Mobile and follow the instructions to reactive the device.
