University Device Connected to eduroam Network, but "No Internet"

Question

When attempting to connect to eduroam using my university device, it is listed as connected but with "no internet"; what can I do?

  1. Ensure your device is connected to eduroam.

  2. Right Click the network symbol from the bottom right corner of the Windows taskbar and Select Network & Internet Settings.

  3. Select Properties.

  4. Click the Edit button for Advanced Wi-Fi network properties.

  5. Select the Security tab and Click on the Settings button.

  6. Select and enter the settings as displayed in the next picture

    • Click OK.
  7. Within the Security tab and Click on the Advanced settings button

  8. Change the authentication mode to User or computer authentication and Check Enable single sign on for this network

  9. Select OK.
