How can I change my BGSU username?
Per ITS policy, once a username has been created it cannot be changed unless a legal name change has occurred. Once you have had a legal name change, students should visit or call the Office of Registration and Records and inform them of the change. For Faculty and Staff, please contact Human Resources. Once they have changed it on their end, please call ITS to start the name change process.
Once you have made your request to ITS, please expect a minimum of five business days to process the change, as there are a number of manual steps. ITS will also need to coordinate a specific time with you for the changeover to minimize disruption.
