Adding Videos to Bridge Course Using Canvas Studio


How do I link/embed a video into my Bridge Course. 


Bridge Advanced Video was decommissioned on Feb. 1, 2024. All courses which need to have a new video created or captions generated can use Canvas Studio for these purposes by following these instructions:

Please Note: To complete these steps you must have Bridge Editor/Manager permissions.

  1. Upload to Canvas.
    1. Log in to Canvas
    2. Select Studio from the left navigation menu. 
    3. Drag the video file from your folder to the Canvas studio screen. The upload process will start automatically. This process may take a few minutes depending on the size of the file uploaded.
  2. Create Captions.
    1. Hover on the video and select view.
    2. Select the Captions tab. 
    3. Select request and then select the language
    4. You will receive an email from when the captions are available.
    5. Review and update the captions once processing is complete.
    6. Select My Library to return to main screen.
  3. Create public link.
    1. Select the three dots on the uploaded video.
    2. Select Share Media.
    3. Select the Links tab.
    4. Select the Create Public Link button.
    5. Select the copy icon.
  4. Add video to Bridge training
    1. Navigate to the Bridge Course to which you would like to add the video. 
    2. Locate the video and then click on the area where the video should go.
    3. Select the Attachment icon.
    4. Paste the URL copied in Step 3 into the area that says paste URL.
  5. This should be done for each video you choose to have managed in Studio but referenced in a Bridge Course.
