Students Can't See Zoom Recordings

Question

Why can't students see the Zoom class recordings?

Answer

If your students are unable to see your Zoom recordings, please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below. 

  1. Verify that the recordings appear in Canvas:
    1. Log in to Canvas.
    2. Select Courses from the left navigation. 
    3. Select your course.
    4. Select Zoom from the course navigation menu. 
    5. Select the Cloud Recordings tab.
    6. Check to see if the recording(s) in question appear here. 
  2. Verify that the recordings appear in Zoom:
    1. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Log in to Zoom.
    2. Select Recordings from the left navigation menu.
    3. Check to see if the recording(s) in question appear here. 
  3. ​​​​​​​If the recordings do not appear in either of the above locations, it may be that someone else scheduled the meeting, was the meeting host, or that you are the co-host.
  4. If the meetings DO appear in one of the above locations but are still not showing up for your students, please contact ITS.
