Recording a Meeting in Microsoft Teams


How do I record a meeting in Microsoft Teams?


  1. Start or join a meeting
  2. Select More Options (ellipses).
  3. Select Start Recording to begin recording the meeting.
    • All meeting participants will receive a notification that the meeting is being recorded.
  4. To end the recording, select More Options (ellipses).
  5. Select Stop Recording.
  6. Select Stop Recording again.
  7. Once the recording has finished processing (which could take some time, depending on length), it will be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint per the guidelines outlined here.
    • In addition to storing the recording in OneDrive/SharePoint, a link to the recording will also be available in the meeting chat. Anyone who participated in the meeting can access this link and download the recording.
  8. The person who initiated the recording will receive an email with the recording link.
