Jabber chat function is not working, what should I do?

Answer

If Cisco Jabber is not allowing a user to select a contact and begin a chat session with them follow the following steps to resolve:

  1. Select gear icon on the top right of Jabber.
  2. Select Sign Out.
  3. Select Reset Jabber.
    • Simply closing Jabber will not work.
  4. Open Jabber and sign back in.
