How do I download and install Respondus Lockdown Browser on a personal device?
Answer
In some instances, professors/instructors will require a student to download and use Respondus Lockdown Browser* for a quiz/exam. If you do not have it installed, follow the steps below:
- Download the Respondus Lockdown Browser, available at this link: Download LockDown Browser.
- Select Install Now to begin the download.
- In both PC and Mac operating systems, the download will be saved to your downloads folder.
- Navigate to your folder and double-click to run and install the Respondus Lockdown Browser.
*ITS does not recommend the use of Chromebooks because they are not compatible with many academic and enterprise applications.
*Windows Surface devices do not meet LockDown Browser's system requirements and device crashing may occur.
