File Share Request

Who can use it?

BGSU Faculty, Staff

What is it?

ITS centrally manages the University's internal file share. BGSU file shares include a production copy of all files, an on-site backup and an off-site backup. This service allows users to request the following:

  1. A new file share be created
  2. Add or remove a user's access to a folder(s) within a file share
  3. Add or remove a folder from the top level of an existing file share
  4. A file or folder within the file share be restored in the event of accidental deletion

*Please note: For items 2-4, the requestor must be the documented file share owner or contact person for the affected file share.

ITS also offers SharePoint Sites and OneDrive as free storage options. To see if one of those services would fit your needs, visit our SharePoint service page

How to use it?

After submitting the online form, an ITS technician will review your request, and upon approval, will make the change/update. You will be notified when the request(s) is complete.
