Signing an Adobe Sign Document

To sign a document you received from Adobe Sign, follow the steps in this Adobe Sign documentation.

Adobe Sign Signature Options

Type

The Type signature allows to type your name into the Signature Field for signing.

Draw*

The Draw signature allows you to draw your signature using either your mouse or touch screen.

Image*

The Image signature allows you to upload a previously saved image of your signature.

Mobile

The Mobile option sends a text message to your mobile device so you can capture your signature directly from your device.

*These options require the user to type out their signature as well.

Can Students Sign Documents Electronically Using Adobe Sign

Yes, BGSU students can sign Adobe Sign forms. However, the document author/creator must be a BGSU faculty/staff member with the appropriate Adobe Sign authorization.

Can Approvals/Signatures Be Setup Simultaneously in Adobe Sign?

Yes. When preparing a document for signatures, the sender can toggle the button under the Recipients field to Complete in Any Order. This will allow signatures and approvals the be completed simultaneously and in any order.

Creating/Updating Your Adobe Sign Signature

Adobe Sign allows you to save signatures for easy and convenient signing. To create or update your signature, follow these steps:

Login to Adobe Sign.
Select the down arrow next to your name from the top right of the screen.
Select My Profile.
Select My Signature from the left navigation menu.
Select Create under Your Saved Signature to create a signature.
1. Choose your preferred signature type.
2. Create your signature.
3. Select Apply.
Select Create under Your Saved Initials to create your initials.

3. Select Apply.
To delete your signature or initials, select Clear.

Does a User Need to Have an Adobe Sign Account to Sign a Document?

No. Any recipient, including non-BGSU users, can sign an Adobe Sign document. Users needing to send documents through Adobe Sign must have an account configured.
