What applications get published/made available for self service installation?

Answer

ITS follows these guidelines when determining what applications to make available for self-service installation (Macs = Self Service, Windows = Software Center):

  1. The application's licensing needs to cover all faculty, staff, and students, or all faculty or all staff.
  2. The application needs to be widely used on campus.
  3. The application needs to be unconditionally approved by the University's software procurement review process.
  4. The application needs to be deployable (no security or other technical issues).
