Classroom Wireless Display Via Sharelink

Question

How do I use the Sharelink wireless display option in my classroom?

Answer

The ShareLink device currently only supports sharing from a laptop or desktop computer. This method of sharing is not recommended for showing videos.

Sharing Via Firefox Browser

  1. Using the control touch panel in your classroom, select the Wireless option on one or more screens in your room.
  2. Open Firefox on your laptop. (All other browsers are currently unsupported.)
  3. Enter the LAN A address starting with 10.5 listed near the bottom of the screen in your room as a URL in your browser.
  4. Enter the Code listed near the bottom of the screen in your room and your name.
  5. Select the Connect button.
  6. Select the content option you wish to display and check the box labeled "Share system audio" before selecting the share button.
  7. Select the blue Stop Sharing at the top of your screen stop sharing. 

Sharing Via the Desktop App

Before you are able to share via the desktop application, you will need to contact the ITS Service Desk with the information listed below to have the application installed.  

  1. Using the control touch panel in your classroom, select the Wireless option on one or more screens in your room.
  2. Open the Sharelink on your laptop.
  3. Select the + button.
  4. Enter the LAN A address starting with 10.5 listed near the bottom of the screen.
  5. Select the Next button.
  6. Enter the Code listed near the bottom of the screen in your room.
  7. Select the Connect button.
  8. Select the + button.
  9. Select the content option you wish to display and check the box labeled "Share system audio" before selecting the share button.
  10. Select the blue Leave at the top of your screen to stop sharing.
