What are some general proxy account troubleshooting steps?

  • If permissions have been revoked and you can no longer access some of the information, you must discuss this with the student. The University will not grant access to a proxy, the student must be the one to grant all access to their information.
  • The system will time out after 20 minutes of inactivity and you will need to log in again.
  • Email address that are over 30 characters in total length will not work properly with Access BGSU. If you were able to create your account but are unable to login by entering your entire email address, try removing the last letter from your email address when you attempt to sign in. For example, if your email address was testemailaddressforaccess@gmail.com, you would instead enter testemailaddressforaccess@gmail.co. You can also have the student setup access to a different, shorter, email address.
