Why is my Course Listed as a Past Course in Canvas?


Why is my course listed as a past course in Canvas?


It is likely that the course end date has been set for a date in the past and thus the course is showing up under Past Enrollments. 

For Instructors

Update the course end date to a date in the future by following the instructions below. 

  1. Log in to Canvas.
  2. Navigate to the Canvas Course experiencing the issue. 
  3. Select Settings. 
  4. Select end date in the future for the course under Course Details tab.
  5. Select Update Course Details.

For Students

If your course is showing up under past enrollments and you believe this to be an error, please contact your instructor.
