Managing SharePoint Document Versions

Question

How do I manage/view document versions in SharePoint?

Answer

  1. Log in to SharePoint.
  2. Navigate to the document for which you would like to review the versions.
  3. Check the circle to the left of the document name.
  4. Select the show actions (stacked ellipsis) next to the document name. 
  5. Select Version History.  
  6. From the Version History window you can:
    1. View the different document versions.
    2. Delete all versions.
    3. View who modified the version, the file size and any version comments.
    4. Select the drop-down menu next to the version to view or restore it.
