What is it?

BGLinux is a virtual machine running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system with four Intel Xeon E5-2667 v3 3.20GHz virtual CPUs and 16GB of RAM.  It is generally used by students and faculty to run various Unix applications such as compilers, mathematical packages, and simulations 

Where to get it?

Accounts can be requested by clicking the “Request BGLinux Account” button on this page, or by logging into the MyBGSU portal and following these instructions.

How to use it?

BGLinux supports using SSH or SFTP to access the system. The Knowledge Base articles below may assist you with using BGLinux.
