University Faculty & Staff Loaner Laptop Policy


ITS will provide a temporary loaner laptop while a device is being repaired.


A client will be eligible to check out a loaner laptop if all of the following criteria are met:

  1. They do not have a secondary computer, University or personal that can be used temporarily.
  2. Department does not have spare device to use.
  3. University device is checked into ITS for servicing.
  4. Loaner laptop stock is available.

Terms of Loan

This computer will have the following:

  1. Windows standard BGSU Office image.  Standard software.  No exceptions. 
  2. Once the loaner laptop is returned, it will be wiped of all content.  
    1. ALL DATA will be LOST. Do not save data to the loaner laptop. 
    2. If data needs to be saved during loaner period, please save to OneDrive.

Repaired computer will not be released to user until loaner laptop and accessories are returned to ITS.
