How do I download and install Respondus Lockdown Browser on a personal device?

Answer

In some instances, professors/instructors will require a student to download and use Respondus Lockdown Browser* for a quiz/exam. If you do not have it installed, follow the steps below: 

  1. Download the Respondus Lockdown Browser, available at this link: Download LockDown Browser.
  2. Select Install Now to begin the download.
    • In both PC and Mac operating systems, the download will be saved to your downloads folder.
  3. Navigate to your folder and double-click to run and install the Respondus Lockdown Browser.

 

For the best experience, ITS recommends taking your Respondus LockDown Browser quiz on a desktop or laptop computer rather than a Chromebook or tablet, as these devices may not fully support the software.
