View Print Billing Reports in Power BI

Question

How do I access my department's print billing report(s) in Power BI?

Answer

Department print billing reports are available for on demand viewing in Power BI. You can access these reports by following these steps. 

Please Note: This does NOT include reports shared with you via PaperCut that were requested via this service, You will continue to receive those via email.

Accessing Print Billing Reports in Power BI

  1. Log in to Office 365.
  2. Select Applications from the top left corner (nine dots). 
  3. Select All Apps.
  4. Search for Power BI and select it to open the web application.
  5. Select Browse from the left navigation menu. 
  6. You can either use the search field to search for "Print Billing Departments" or check the Recent, Favorites or Shared with me pages from the left navigation menu to find the Print Billing Departments report. 
  7. Select the Print Billing Departments report from the list of results/reports. 
  8. You will see the Department Printer report on the left side of the page:
    • Department Printer Reports: Administrative Department printers’ monthly volume and monthly charge

Viewing Department Printer Reports

This report will list every administrative department printer for the prior month including its print volume and total charges per month.

  • Scroll through the report to quickly find your data, such as a specific printer, department, speedtype or building.
  • Sort the data by hovering over the column you would like to sort and selecting the arrow that appears or use the filters provided at the top of the report by selecting the drop-down menu below the header and then selecting your preferred filter option
    • When using the provided filters, more than one option can be selected on all filters except Billing Period
    • Select the carrot symbol in the Department filter to view and select sub departments.
  • To reset all filters to the default settingselect the Reset button (circle arrow) from the top right corner of the report. 
  • To export the data to an Excel spreadsheet, filter your report how you would like it to be exported, hover over the filter option box and select the three dots/ellipses that appear below the box. Select Export dataselect your preferred export option(s) and then select Export.
