Access BGSU Account Roles

What are the Different Access BGSU Account Roles?

There are two main roles in Access BGSU - the Delegator and the Proxy:

The delegator is the student who grants access to the proxy. The role of the student/delegator is outlined below.

  • Initiate all delegation requests.
  • Can delegate one or more of the five transactions.
  • Can delegate to multiple proxies at the same time.
  • Must agree to the Terms and Conditions before access can be shared.

A proxy is a person to whom a student has granted access to Access BGSU. For example, a parent, spouse, relative, etc. The role of the proxy is outlined below:

  • Must accept the delegation request to gain access to the student's information.
  • Must agree to the Terms and Conditions before information can be viewed.
  • Has view-only access to the student's information - cannot change any data.
