Using a FIFINE Wireless Microphone for In-Room Amplification

Question

Can I use the FIFINE wireless microphone I purchased for hybrid teaching to amplify my voice while teaching in a classroom?

Answer

The FIFINE wireless microphones recommended by ITS for individual purchase can be used both as a computer microphone and for in-room amplification in any of our general use classrooms. To use this feature, you will first need to purchase an XLR to 3.5mm audio cableOnce you have the microphone and the cable, these steps will get it connected in your classroom.

  1. Connect the USB receiver for your microphone to either the computer in the classroom or any USB power source.
  2. Locate the microphone connection in your classroom either in the cabinet, eNook, or on the instructor podium.
  3. Connect the XLR to 3.mm cable to the microphone connection and then to the headphone connection on your USB receiver.
  4. Press the power button on your microphone pack to turn the system ON.
