Can I add a secondary non-BGSU email address to my Canvas profile for receiving notifications?

Yes, follow the steps below to add an additional email to your Canvas profile.
Add New Email Address
- Log in to Canvas.
- Select Account from the left navigation menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select + Email Address from the right side of the User Settings window under Ways to Contact.
- Enter the email address you wish to add.
- Select Register Email.
- Canvas will send a confirmation email to the new email address.
- Confirm your email address from the Canvas email by selecting the Click here to confirm registration link.
- The new email address will now be added to your Canvas account.
Setup Notifications for New Email Address
- Log in to Canvas.
- Select Account from the left navigation menu.
- Select Notifications.
- Select the bell icon for the course activities for which you would like to receive notifications under the new email address column.
- Select the frequency for which you would like to receive notifications.
- Repeat steps 4-5 until you have set up all of the notifications you wish to receive.
