Using OnBase QA Test Scripts (Tester)

To view project test scripts as as a Tester: 

1. Select the My Tests filter.
2. Filter the results by project name, functional area, test phase ID, etc.
3. Double-click on a test to open it for editing or view more details.

To edit a single test script in the OnBase QA Test Script application: 

1. Navigate to and select the test script you would like to edit. 
2. In the test script, Testers can edit the status, test date, and add comments.
   1. Changing the status to Issue will send an email notification to the Functional Lead and Testing Lead and Tester for that area. 
   2. The Testing Lead should enter the Jira issue number, once created.
3. Add a comment to the script by selecting the plus (+) sign in the right corner of the comment window. 
   1. Enter a comment into the Comment field. 
   2. Users can also drag and drop screenshots into the comment field.
   3. The Testing Lead will be able to access these details to input into the Jira Issue.
4. When the status is ready for retesting, the Testing Lead should update the status to Ready for Retest.
   • This will send an email notification to the Testing Lead, Functional Lead, and Tester.

To edit multiple test scripts in the OnBase QA Test Scripts application: 

1. Select the My Tests/Functional (Areas) Filter.
2. Filter by area, project name, test phase, etc.
3. Double-click the Area to view all test scripts for that area.
4. Select the Edit (pencil) button from the right corner of the test script area.
5. Update multiple fields.
6. Select the Edit (pencil) button again to exit edit mode once complete.
   • Note: If completing a large number of edits, the system may give a warning of processing; no action is needed, it will eventually complete.
7. Select Save or Save and Close to save the changes.

A Tester has access to the following filters in OnBase QA Test Scripts:

1. My Tests
   1. My Tests – Displays ONLY tests to which the user is assigned as Tester.
   2. Functional Area(s) – Displays all functional areas in which the user has tests assigned.
