How do I create a video from my narrated PowerPoint?
Answer
Use this teaching strategy to export your narrated PowerPoint as a video that can be uploaded to Canvas or YouTube. You will need to create the voice narrations in PowerPoint before exporting it as a video.
- Select the File tab in PowerPoint.
- Select Export from the left-hand menu.
- Choose Create a Video.
- Here you have the option to change the presentation quality and set your timings and narrations.
- We recommend leaving your video at Presentation Quality, using Recorded Timings and Narrations.
- Choose the number of seconds spent on each slide based on how long you prefer if you have not set narration on each slide.
- Select Create Video.
- Choose the name and location of the video file you are creating and your video will begin to render.
