Please Note: Canvas courses are locked after two semesters and the original instructor will be unable to add a new instructor.
The primary method for moving content from an old Canvas course into a new one is for the instructor to move the content themselves. It can be helpful to move that content into a Course Template, which will remain open indefinitely. To request a template using this link:

If the original instructor remains at BGSU, that requesting individual will need to be added to the new course or the new course template. Once this is completed, the original instructor can use this guide to copy the content. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13035-...
If the original instructor is no longer at BGSU, a request to ITS will need to be created by the chair of the department that offered the original course.
