The steps below are for university-owned, Windows computers in which you are the primary user.
Please note, due to security updates made by Microsoft most people will not be able to install the drivers for a newly installed printer. If you already have the driver for the same series of a printer already installed on your computer, however, you may proceed to the steps listed in Installing a ComDoc Printer, below. (For example, if your department already has a Xerox C400/C405 and they have an additional Xerox C400/C405 installed you can then follow the directions under Installing a ComDoc Printer to install the printer.
* If you are unable to obtain the printer name from your department contact, please contact ITS and have the associated ComDoc contract number of the printer (located on the device's ComDoc sticker) readily available.

Installing Student Print Release Queues on a University Computer
It is possible to add Student Print Release printers (lab printers BG-Print-BW & BG-Print-Color) to a university device. This will allow printing to student printers from university device and will still charge the user's account for printing. This may be desirable, for instance, if a graduate student has a university device but needs to print jobs for their student course work or personal use. For assistance with this please contact the ITS Service Desk.
