Answer

If a website has changed IP addresses or is out of date, a DNS (Domain Name System) flush may be required.

Perform DNS Flush on Mac Device

  1. Navigate to Search (Magnifying Glass) at the top right and type in "Terminal".
  2. Once the Terminal opens, type: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder.
    • Enter your Mac Password if prompted.
  3. Close out Terminal once complete.

Perform DNS Flush on Windows Device

  1. Navigate to Start and click on Run.
  2. Type in "CMD" and then click Run/Ok.
  3. Once the Command Prompt is open, type "ipconfig /flushdns". You will see a message confirming the DNS resolver cache has been flushed.
  4. Close out Command Prompt once it is complete.
