Connecting To BGlinux & Authenticating via Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

Question

How do I connect to the BGlinux server and authenticate via Multifactor Authentication (MFA)?

Answer

  1. Select a method/protocol for accessing BGlinux. 
  2. When prompted for the host name, enter bglinux.bgsu.edu.
  3. Login with your BGSU username and password. 
  4. You will be prompted to authenticate via Multifactor Authentication (MFA).
    • You may see Duo and/or Okta Verify, depending on which MFA service in which you are enrolled. 
  5. Select your preferred method of authentication from options listed by typing the number on your keyboard. 
  6. Type in the passcode received via the selected authentication, or if push was selected, verify using the mobile app.
  7. You should now be connected to the BGlinux server.
