Software: Classroom/Lab: Request Install

Who can use it?

BGSU Faculty, Staff

What is it?

This service is used to request software installation or upgrade for an ITS-managed classroom, computer lab, or mobile device cart.

Where to get it?

Service requests may be made using this “Request Software” form on this page.

Before submitting a request, please review the software already available on our List of BGSU Provided Software KB.

How to use it?

  • Only software that will be used for BGSU class instruction may be installed.
  • Installation of pre-release, preview, or trial versions of software is not permitted.
  • Software new to labs or classrooms is subject to legal review as outlined in our Software Purchase & Request Process KB article.
  • After completing the form, if not available electronically, please deliver the following items to the Technology Support Center (Hayes Hall 110):
    • A physical copy of the media needed to install the software.
    • Serial numbers, license codes, accounts, dongles, or guides needed to complete the installation.
    • A copy of the proof of purchase, end user license agreement (EULA), and any Terms & conditions, and privacy policies associated with the software.
  • Work will not begin until the legal review process has completed, and all items necessary to complete the installation have been received.
  • For best service, software requests should be submitted by the following dates if needed for the first day of classes:

  • Software requests made outside of the start of the semester/session can be expected to be completed within 10 business days following any legal review, provided all items necessary to complete the installation have been received.
