Turnitin Password Reset

Why am I unable to sign in to www.turnitin.com using my BGSU email address and password?

TurnItIn uses its own username and password in order to login and is not associated with your BGSU account. The steps below will walk you through resetting your password for your Turnitin account through the BGSU email address. The procedure below will only work if you have created a Turnitin assignment in Canvas or requested ITS to create a TurnItIn account. 

1. Navigate to www.turnitin.com and select login located at the top right of the website.
2. Once on the login page, select Forgot your password? link.
3. Enter your BGSU email address in the email address field and then enter your last name as it appears in Canvas into the last name field.
4. Click the Next button
5. You may be prompted to answer a security question.  Select the Forgot your answer? link if you are unable to answer the security question. 
6. Turnitin will then send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password. Follow these instructions to set a new password.
7. Once complete, you can log in to www.turnitin.com using your BGSU email address and the new password.
