Academic Scanning Process

Question

What is the process for scanning academic exams?

Answer

Information Technology Services (ITS) will scan and score completed exam bubble sheets for BGSU faculty and staff. Prior to dropping off the exam bubble sheets for processing, please ensure your students are filling out the bubble sheets correctly

Instructors will need to purchase their own bubble sheets. Click here for information on purchasing bubble sheets.

When placing your exam sheets in the lockers located outside of room 107 Hayes Hall for processing, you will need the following:

  • Academic exam processing form.
  • Exam Answer Key.
  • All original, student-completed bubble sheets.
  • Contact ITS at 419-372-0999 to obtain an assigned locker in which to drop off your scantrons. Information on the lockers can be found here.
  • After placing your exams within the assigned locker, reply to the email containing the locker instructions that you have put the exams in the locker assigned.
  • After the exams are processed, you will receive an email from the ticket with a link to the results that will be deleted after 30 days.
  • You will receive Academic Scanning Reports for each section that you submit.
  • The original scanned forms will be placed in a locker located outside of room 107 Hayes Hall to be picked up. The locker number and combination will be included within the email containing the exam results link. They will be removed after 2 business days if not picked up and destroyed.
  • Information on accessing the lockers can be found HERE.
