How do I set my TV up to get cable stations on campus?
Answer
The off campus apartments on East Merry and North Enterprise do not have our standard cable and will need to use a Amazon FireStick or mobile device to access cable.
- Connect a Coax Cable to the port in your room and to your TV.
- Open the Menu or Settings area of your TV via your remote.
- Optional - Find Tuner settings and change it to Cable. (Do not use antenna or air)
- Locate the option for a Channel Scan and start.
If this does not work, you may need to purchase a QAM Tuner, if your TV does not have one built in. All televisions produced after 2007 should have some form of digital tuner built into the device, but not all include the QAM tuner which is used for all digital cable stations. If you are unsure if your device has the correct tuner, please refer to the specifications provided by your manufacturer to be sure.
