Using your laptop's camera and microphone for hybrid classes, or when teaching a standard class:

  1. Turn on the AV system.
  2. Plug your HDMI cable into the laptop's HDMI port.
  3. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the podium or in the cabinet.
  4. On the touch panel, select your display choice and select HDMI.
  5. Your device is now connected.

*Please note: Most PC laptops have HDMI ports. HDMI cables are not provided in the classroom nor by ITS.

Troubleshooting:

  • If laptop image does not appear on the projector/flat screen, verify the HDMI cable is securely attached to the ports
  • If image does not appear, restart the system.  This will restart the video projectors as well as the touch panel.
  • Confirm laptop resolution is set to the lowest available.
