Using a Classroom Ceiling Mounted-Camera and Microphone

Question

How do I control the camera and microphone mounted to the ceiling in my classroom?

Answer

Some of the newly remodeled classrooms have a ceiling-mounted camera and microphone for use with any software on the designated classroom computer. Review our classroom descriptions to determine if your classroom has this equipment. This equipment will only work with the classroom computer in the room and will not function with other devices attached to the system.

  1. Locate and select the Camera and Mic Controls button on the classroom touch panel.
  2. On the page that appears, the Ceiling Camera Controls will allow you to select any one of the three preset video locations or move the camera manually.
  3. The Ceiling Mic controls will allow you to adjust the volume of the microphone and, in some rooms, change which area of the classroom the microphone is targeted.
  4. Once you are finished, select the close button to return to your normal controls.
