What are the various options available for connecting to/using the BGSU VPN?
Answer
There are two options for using the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to facilitate off-campus connections.
The first method is to visit vpn.bgsu.edu and utilize web bookmarks to connect to specific BGSU applications that are only accessible on-campus (CSS, FMS, HCM) while using your off-campus university device. This method is recommended for users who only need to access services such as employee timesheet and other VPN-only services located within the MyBGSU Portal, etc.
The other method for accessing the VPN is to utilize a program called Pulse Secure ITS will configure and install Pulse Secure so the user can create a direct connection to the BGSU network. Once connected, your BGSU computer access will mimic on-campus access.
